We chose Saint John because Saint John is a family. The warm and welcoming environment and the tight-knit school community are allowing our children to thrive. They are growing in their faith, are challenged (yet supported) academically, and are building a strong foundation that will positively benefit them far beyond their time at Saint John. They are not only learning math, science, and language arts, but also how to be responsible citizens, respectful friends and neighbors, service-oriented leaders, and Christian role models. We are blessed to be part of such a wonderful school community.

Our family has been part of Saint John Catholic School since 2012. That is when our son, Connor, started 3-year-old preschool. He then went on to the 4-year-old preschool the following year. During that time, they took the preschool class to church and to learn about the Catholic Faith. The time came when we needed to make the decision to continue his education at Saint John or attend public school. We met with many staff members, other families whose children were enrolled, and the financial administrator. With the wonderful foundation that he was receiving from preschool and the welcoming/family oriented feeling we received since day one at Saint John, we knew that we wanted nothing more than to continue his education there.

We enrolled both of his sisters, Emma & Alivia, in the preschool programs and they are now in the final years of Saint John. We are so very happy that we chose to send our children there for the small environment, wonderful foundation, religious upbringing, and family-feeling school. The kids learned at a very young age to do public speaking with being a part of Mass readings, programs, etc. The school strives on how to help one another and also the community. Teaching your children respect, dedication, love, and faith at a young age is so important.

We are so very thankful for having the wonderful opportunity to send our children to such an amazing school. We will never forget the wonderful impact that it has made on our families lives.

The teachers and staff are incredible. It’s obvious that they love what they do and going above and beyond is simply the norm for them. I believe the teachers and staff set the bar high for their students which is so amazing to watch unfold. One example of this is the weekly school Mass that is held every Monday. Not only is it a beautiful way to begin each week as a school, but the involvement of students is inspiring. From Kindergarten through 5th grade, all students are asked to take part in a Mass that their class is responsible for-and without hesitation, the students proudly practice and participate. Our boys are always excited when they are asked to contribute, and this makes my heart so happy. Not only are we proud of them, but they are proud of themselves.

Respect and kindness are part of the everyday routine at Saint John, and it shows. The students are respectful to one another, the teachers, and the staff-from 5th grade all the way down to

kindergarten, they treat each other like family. I have witnessed, on many occasions, students from all grades saying their goodbyes to each other at dismissal-genuine high fives and “see you tomorrow’s”, holding doors, and older students making sure the younger ones are taken care of. Our kids love going to school. Their classmates are like family and choosing a favorite teacher is impossible because they admire each and every one of them.

The academic expectations are remarkable. We are one hundred percent confident that our boys are getting one of the best educations possible. It’s so fun to listen to our boys share what

they are learning and watch them put it into practice. The progress they are making is incredible and we could not be more pleased. Saint John School also goes above and beyond to offer a wide variety of specials to the students-music, technology, art, phys ed, and library are offered weekly, and our boys look forward to these daily specials. We saved academics for last because after being a part of Saint John for 3 years now, it is clear that once you create a family that is led by incredible teachers and staff and make respect and kindness a part of everything you do, the academics fall into place, flawlessly.
